December is the time for holiday hustle and bustle. The shopping, the parties, the end of year bookkeeping, reporting, and closing out files. Everyone is scrambling to get projects finished up so they can head off on vacation and you no doubt have a full plate. There is certainly no time to think about cleaning the office…on second thought, maybe this is the PERFECT time to think about scheduling an office deep clean!
Start the Year Off Fresh
What better way to start off the new year than with a fresh, clean office? Don’t you feel better and more productive at home when the house is clean and tidy? The same is true for the office. As your employees return from their holiday break, they’ll be ready to amp up the efficiency if they return to a sparkling clean environment.
Spruce Things Up
As we go about our business it’s easy to miss the signs of daily wear and tear. Take upholstered furniture, for example. It works hard. From coffee spills to food stains to the simple debris that comes along with coexisting with humans, furniture needs to get a good cleaning from time to time. If you haven’t had yours cleaned in the last year, now is the time. The same can be said of flooring. Whether you have carpets or hard floors, they need some love and this is the perfect time to give it to them.
Unless you have someone specifically designated to keeping your office kitchen sanitized, chances are it’s been a long time since the cabinet handles were disinfected, the microwave cleaned, and the fridge wiped down. Can you say germs? A good deep clean will wash away everyday germs along with the extra ones that come hand in hand with the winter season.
Dust and Other Mites
Look up, look down, look all around. Do you see dust? Probably. Vents, baseboards, and ceilings always accumulate dust. You and your employees are breathing that dust day in and day out. A good professional cleaning company will take care of the dust build for you.
A Desk is Not a Dining Room Table
Even if you provide your employees with an eating area, they will still eat at their desks sometimes. Particles from food and drink cover desktops even if you can’t see them. Over time, this can contribute not just to germs but to critters. Your deep cleaning company can disinfect and sanitize these surfaces.
So as you check your end of the year planning list, be sure to schedule a deep clean for your office. With an office that is clean and fresh, you’ll kick off the new year with an attitude as fresh as your surroundings.
